Perform routine and stat tests in the Hematology and Blood Bank sections of the Laboratory according to SOP. Analyze quality control according to established schedule and respond to the results as appropriate. Notify provider of critical results within 15 mins of finalizing the result. All test results are documented in the LIS - Sunquest. Perform blood type, antibody screen and antibody identification. Crossmatch and prepare blood products for transfusion according to SOP. Operate equipment and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting as required.

Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Generalist with at least 2 years experience in hematology and blood bank.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Certified as a MLT/MLS by a nationally recognized registry, such as ASCP, AMT, HEW, etc.
Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
