The state board processes most physical therapy licensure applications within three to four weeks, but it may take three or four months if you reside more than 75 miles from Ohio. Physical therapists in Ohio earn an annual mean salary that's slightly less than the national average, and they live in one of the more affordable states in the country. How long does it take to receive your physical therapy license in Ohio?


It typically takes between three and four weeks to receive your physical therapy license if you submit an electronic fingerprint check. This is average compared to other physical therapy licenses across the United States. Applicants living more than 75 miles outside of Ohio must submit ink-rolled fingerprints which take several months to process.
