Job Description & Requirements

Computed Tomography Technologist - Positron Emission Tomography - (CT Tech - PET)

SHIFT: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00PM - 07:30AM at the main facility.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience and 50 mile radius rule. They will work independently so we need someone who is very experienced and comfortable working alone. We are a very busy facility and they must have previous experience with trauma Ct preferred. We use Phillips 64 Slice CT Scanners. Must have at least 4 years of experience in CT, will not be expected to do X-Ray also so we aren't really looking for an x-ray crossed trained to CT. Cerner electronic charting and McKesson PACs experience preferred and must have a current BLS and Advanced CT Registry in good standing. The CT Technologist is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). The CT Technologist is licensed by the state as a general radiographer and is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the performance of basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services. The CT Technologist demonstrates proficiency at routine diagnostic CT Scanning procedures including but not limited to CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis extremities and biopsy/drainage procedures. Responsibilities also include: knowledge of processing of CT system, surgical/sterile procedure, studies with or without contrast media and cross sectional anatomy.
