Medical Technologist - Clinical Laboratory Scientist - (Med Tech - MT - CLS)

SHIFT: 40 hours, Evenings (1415-2245) and Nights (2230-0700), rotating

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience and 50 mile radius rule. MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA) or equivalent required. Baccalaureate degree or equivalent in training and experience as outlined in CLIA and Oregon State Health Department Regularions and MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification. Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing. Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. Requires a bachelors degree and must be a certified medical technologist. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor.
