Job Description & Requirements

Certified Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric Intensive Care - (CRT - PICU)

SHIFT: 1 traveler for 12 hour days and 2 travelers for 12 hour nights.

Required Qualifications

CRT or RRT. Must have NBRC, BLS (American Heart), ACLS, and current IL license. Reports to the Respiratory Therapy Department Manager. Works in accordance with evidenced based policies and procedures of the Medical Center. Administers medical gases, medications, airway clearance, mechanical ventilation and other respiratory modalities for patients experiencing breathing problems under the direction of a physician. Applies theoretical knowledge to the care of adolescent and adult patients and other members of the healthcare team by demonstrating competence in respiratory skills, problem solving and critical thinking that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
