Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and performs diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures. EPIC electronic medical record, Pyxis pharmacy automation system, Biplane and single plan interventional. 2 years' experience in Interventional procedures preferred. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. (Encourage specialty certification.) Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health. CPR Certification. No floating. All within Interventional Radiology. Hospital provided scrubs. Typical orientation for traveler position, need someone with experience who can function independently within 1-2 week of start date. Sets up and adjusts equipment to perform diagnostic procedures. Is able to position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, while respecting the patient's ability and comfort. Obtains appropriate patient information for the procedure being completed. Practices sterile technique, preventing cross contamination to patients or instruments. Provides radiation protection to the patient, technologist and anyone else in the area, utilizing PPE and other guidelines as needed. Recognizes emergent situations and activates assistance as needed.
