In celebration of PT Month, we found four flicks featuring Physical Therapists that you don’t want to miss on your next movie night. Whether you’ve seen these movies or not, you now have the opportunity to enjoy some therapy-related entertainment and judge how accurately PTs are portrayed in film. My Left Foot (1989)

The true story of Christy Brown (Daniel Day-Lewis), an Irishman born with cerebral palsy and the inability to control anything but his left foot. This movie documents the hardships, successes, and ultimately the inspiration that can come from determination to overcome the longest odds. Stream this Oscar winner on Prime Video, and HBO Max.

Just Wright (2010)

This romantic comedy follows Physical Therapist Leslie Wright (Queen Latifah), as she navigates her complicated relationship with her patient, NBA star Scott McKnight (Common) as he works to recover from a career altering injury. Stream this rom com on Hulu and Prime Video.

Murderball (2005)

This documentary focuses on the athletes involved in wheelchair rugby, a popular and high-octane event in the Paralympics. Centering on life on and off the court for the USA and Canadian teams, this feature won at Sundance and was nominated for a Best Documentary Feature Oscar. Stream this doc on Prime Video, Tubi, and Peacock.

Warm Springs (2005)

This TV Movie gives an intimate look into former President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s (Kenneth Branagh) life before taking office and his battle with Polio—where he seeks treatment at Warm Springs rehabilitation facility. Striving to emulate the real-life story as closely as possible, Warm Springs won 5 Primetime Emmys. Stream it now on Hulu, Prime Video, and HBO Max.
