University Showcase-Nova Southeast
Posted by <Ryan>
Down among the renowned beaches of Ft. Lauderdale and situated about 30 minutes from the rough beauty of the Fl. Everglades sits Nova Southeastern University.
Today we take a closer look at the flexible and diverse programs that Nova has to offer. It comes as no surprise that we get more career fair volunteers for the Nova show than most other. Often the big hurdle for Advanced Medical is asking the question- Why do these kids want to leave Miami? The Nova DPT program takes 36 months to complete and prides itself on its terrific student to instructor ratio. This typically comes in around 1:15, bringing a true hands-on learning experience. Nova also offers a unique HDPT program, in which the H stands for Hybrid. The Hybrid program is a mix of online education coupled with face to face experiences. This program takes 4 years instead of the traditional 3 and requires 4-5 days a week at the Nova Tampa campus. (Tampa, Fl) The 4th year consists of a full year, full-time clinical internship.
Starting in 2002 Nova created a TDPT program. This is a transitional program for post-graduates who are looking to advance their clinical knowledge and stay fresh on the most modern techniques and practices. One interesting aspect of the Nova experience is their diverse student body. The students not only come from all over the nation; but all over the world. The school even has its own Multicultural Affairs Committee. This all adds up to an enriching clinical and social experience. Advanced Medical looks forward to continuing its strong relationship with Nova Southeastern. One thing is for certain…….we will never lack for recruiters willing to reach out in person. The Director of the DPT program is Dawn Cross-Brown. For more information please visit: http://www.nova.edu/cah/healthsciences/index.html
